I planted a new rose bush in 2023 that started yielding beautiful antique peach roses in spring 2024. In August, I switched from making oil paintings to drawing and started with my peach roses. Antique roses have many petals opening from a center, much like a ranunculus. You can’t buy them anywhere- you have to grow them. I’ve had a number of antique rose bushes in my garden over the years. They are always special.
