Thinking About Morandi
Thinking About Morandi

I purchased this multiple white vase at the floral stand at my farmer's market, along with the white pot, looking to vary my theme of white containers as simplifying elements in the painting. I chose the flowers carefully and then composed them in the containers. The containers make me think of the work of Georgio Morandi, an italian still life painter who focused almost his entire body of work on the abstract qualities of containers in relation to one another.
